On Friday 11 September, Rochester Riverside celebrated the handover of the first affordable housing at the flagship regeneration scheme from Countryside to Hyde, providing further much-needed new homes for Medway.
Countryside, the UK’s leading mixed-tenure developer, has donated a total of £5,000 from its Communities Fund to the Thames Hospice, a charity for adults in Berkshire and Buckinghamshire requiring respite, therapy, emotional support and end of life and palliative care, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Countryside secures two major wins with Homes England in Chatham and Hemel Hempstead with a combined housing delivery of almost 900 new homes
At the end of March 2020, Countryside exchanged contracts with government housing agency Homes England as the preferred development partner on two major development sites in Chatham, Kent, and Spencer’s Park, Hertfordshire. Both sites will see the creation of up to 900 new homes with construction expected to begin in 2022.
