Surprise Visit for Henry Maynard Primary School!

Countryside’s Bill Ding pays surprise visit to Walthamstow School.
More than 500 children at the Henry Maynard Primary School, a short walk from Countryside’s popular Walthamstow development Feature17, received a surprise visit from the firm’s famous mascot, Bill Ding, accompanied by Juan Velez, Project Manager at Feature 17.
The pair led engaging interactive talks across two sessions on the construction and property sector, tailored for the variety of different age groups at the school.
Pupils aged between eight and nine learnt about the variety of different build materials used to create our homes and communities, the role of architects in the construction process and how the buildings around us take shape.
Bill Ding led a special session for pupils aged between five and seven on the importance of safety on the construction site, decked in protective clothing. The children also had the unique opportunity to don Countryside hard hats and high-vis jackets on the day.
Educational events like this help to create budding new property stars of the future while making sure local children know how to stay safe when on or close to a live construction site.
Feature17 is Walthamstow’s leading regeneration scheme, comprising 436 new homes when fully complete, with 38% affordable. The development will also deliver a new plaza, community amenities, retail space, including a local Co-op, and enhanced streetscapes.
Countryside has just launched Scene2, the second phase of Feature17, complete with a brand-new marketing suite. Scene2 will comprise 98 one, two and thee-bedroom apartments, conveniently located minutes away from Wood Street station and Walthamstow Central.
