South Oxhey Central shortlisted at the British Homes Awards 2023

South Oxhey Central, our £218m mixed-use regeneration scheme in Hertfordshire, has been shortlisted at this year’s British Homes Awards in the Regeneration Scheme of the Year category.
These prestigious awards recognise excellence and innovation in the British housebuilding industry, focusing on architectural design, interior design, build quality and innovation showcased by one-off houses through to major developments.
South Oxhey Central has been shortlisted in the Regeneration Scheme of the Year category in recognition of the transformation that has taken place, with the existing South Oxhey town centre and three unused sites turned into a modern and vibrant hub for residents and businesses.
In partnership with Home Group and Three Rivers District Council, Countryside is delivering 659 new homes and 55,000 sq. ft. of retail and commercial space at South Oxhey Central, including a 18,500 sq. ft. Lidl food store and a revamped retail experience at Carpenders Park railway station. Set amongst two acres of landscaped parks and public spaces, Countryside and Home Group have created a high-quality sustainable neighbourhood with a strong sense of place and community identity, that is attractive for living, working and recreation.
This shortlisting is testament to the hard work of our team and reflects the high-quality design and innovation of our schemes, like South Oxhey Central, that are having a positive impact on local communities.
