We are excited to announce that Rochester Riverside has been shortlisted in two categories at the Medway Design and Regeneration Awards 2022, which celebrate the highly impressive catalogue of innovative building projects across Medway.

Our £419m joint venture with Hyde, in partnership with Medway Council and Homes England, has been shortlisted in both the ‘residential super major’ and ‘civils and infrastructure including public realm schemes’ categories, in recognition of our success in transforming a 50-acre brownfield site into a new riverside destination with around 1,400 new homes.

Designed by architects BPTW, Phases 1 and 2 of the development have been shortlisted for the awards. Previously recognised nationally for their design excellence, these completed phases have delivered 331 new homes along with a hotel, food store and coffee shop surrounding a public plaza, creating an inviting new gateway to Rochester Riverside from historic Rochester and the station.

Chosen by a judging panel comprised of experts from across the planning, design and architectural industry, the winning schemes will be announced at a glittering awards ceremony at The Corn Exchange in Rochester on 22 September, which will be compered by David Birbeck, Chief Executive at Design for Homes, and feature Sadie Morgan, Founding Director at award-winning architecture practice dRMM as guest speaker. It has been five years since the last Design and Regeneration Awards and we can’t wait to join our fellow property professionals to celebrate the best that Medway has to offer.
