Pens mean prizes as Countryside holds a drawing competition for South Oxhey school children

Congratulations to the winners of our drawing competition, who will see their artwork displayed on the hoarding at South Oxhey Central, our £172m regeneration scheme in South Oxhey, Hertfordshire.

We invited pupils from local school, St Joseph’s Primary School, to enter a drawing competition: they were asked to create a design based on the theme “what do you like about living in South Oxhey?”. We received many wonderful entries, with a number of creative and thoughtful designs.

The five winning drawings have now been displayed on the site hoarding along Prestwick Road, and the illustrators of the drawings, Lola (age 9), Elle (age 11), Summer (age 8), Courtney (age 9), and Lacey (age 11) presented with their book voucher prizes.

At Countryside, we are always looking to engage with young people living in the communities in and around our developments. This drawing competition encouraged local children to think about their community and consider what makes South Oxhey a great place to live. The area is home to an array of world-class leisure amenities, including an indoor ski slope and high-tech driving range, as well as a plethora of dining and entertainment options, green open space and excellent transport links.

We are thrilled so many students took part in our drawing competition and thank them for their hard work and beautiful, inventive creations.
