At Home with Countryside in Brinnington

A brand new collection of affordable homes has been officially launched in Brinnington as Countryside and Stockport Council unveil Blackberry Point, the second new development to be created for Stockport home buyers in just two years.

Blackberry Point is Countryside’s much-anticipated new development of 166 three bedroom homes where buyers can purchase through the Government-backed Help to Buy scheme with just a 5% deposit.

Located on the edge of Reddish Vale, Blackberry Point is Countryside’s second development to launch in Brinnington following the hugely successful Blackberry Vale where the developer sold 98 brand new homes in less than 12 months.

To mark the launch Countryside invited Cllr Sheila Bailey, Cabinet Member for Sustainable Stockport, to take a tour of the developer’s three show homes each designed for first time buyers and young and growing families.

Countryside offers buyers at Blackberry Point its enhanced specification package, which includes a range of stunning extras that come with each home including integrated kitchen appliances and bathroom suites with Porcelanosa tiling.

Cllr Sheila Bailey, Cabinet Member for Sustainable Stockport, said: “This development is great news for Brinnington and this partnership with Countryside forms part of the council’s wider regeneration of the area. The show homes at Blackberry Point look absolutely stunning and follow on from a very successful Countryside development at nearby Blackberry Vale. These homes are predominately being aimed at first time buyers and will not only provide opportunities for local residents to get a foot on the housing ladder but will encourage new families to settle in the area and boost the local economy.”

Deborah Hughes, Regional Sales and Marketing Director at Countryside, commented: “The success of Blackberry Vale in 2018 was fantastic and it showed us that we had found the perfect balance of affordability and quality for the people of Stockport. With Blackberry Point we were keen to recreate this but also bring something new and exciting for our buyers. We know first hand how exciting it is to buy a new home and we have made sure that our buyers’ journey, from our range of buying initiatives to our interior specification, is designed to make our customers’ home ownership experience stress-free and completely enjoyable every step of the way.”

Philip Whitehead, Regional Regeneration Director at Countryside, added: “Our partnership with Stockport Council has continued to succeed in creating high quality new homes for the town while also bringing investment in regeneration that will make a meaningful difference to the area. There is much work that takes place behind the scenes when creating the concepts and bringing forward new developments and it is always a very rewarding time to see all of this hard work and dedication come to fruition.”
