We are delighted to announce that we have been shortlisted in five categories at this year's British Homes Awards, with Greenwich Millennium Village, Azure, Watermark and South Oxhey Central all recognised.

These prestigious awards recognise excellence and innovation in the British housebuilding industry, focusing on architectural design, interior design, build quality and innovation showcased by one-off houses through to major developments.

Greenwich Millennium Village (GMV), which has fast become an integrated community of homes, businesses and places of leisure, has been shortlisted in the Best Community Living category. Once complete, the development will deliver over 2,800 new homes, alongside a wealth of amenities including co-working spaces, a games room, a nursery, café, shops and a community centre.

Recognising the successful joint venture between Countryside and Homes England to regenerate St Mary’s Island in Kent, Azure has been shortlisted in the Best Housing Partnership category.  Transforming the previously uninhabitable 150-acre former Royal Naval dockyard, into a sustainable mixed-use community, the scheme will eventually deliver 1,700 new homes, alongside green spaces and public amenities.

Also shortlisted at the British Homes Awards is Watermark, our regeneration scheme in partnership with the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead, which has been recognised in the Mixed-use Development of the Year category on account of our transformation of a former council car park alongside York Stream into a thriving mixed-use community. A stunning collection of one, two and three-bedroom apartments is being delivered alongside new retailers and an attractive public square, bringing fresh life to this area of Maidenhead town centre.

New Avenue, our scheme in Oakwood, has also been shortlisted in the Affordable Housing category. Part of the regeneration of Coverack Close, Enfield, New Avenue will provide 502 new homes for existing residents and newcomers, delivered in three phases, alongside a community centre and nursery at the heart of the scheme.

Lastly, South Oxhey Central, our £218m mixed-use regeneration scheme with Home Group, has been shortlisted for Development Transformation of the Year for the way in which the existing South Oxhey town centre in Hertfordshire and three unused sites have been turned into a modern and vibrant hub for local residents and businesses. Set amongst two acres of landscaped parks and public spaces will be 55,000 sq. ft. of retail and commercial space, including a 18,500 sq. ft. Lidl food store, a revamped retail experience at Carpenders Park railway station and 659 new homes.

As a leading UK mixed-tenure developer, this breadth of shortlisting success is testament to the hard work of our team, not only reflecting the high-quality design and innovation of our schemes but our dedication to creating places people love.

We look forward to the awards ceremony at The Londoner Hotel on Friday 30th September, when the winners will be announced.
