Countryside shortlisted at the prestigious Construction News Awards

We are proud to be shortlisted for Best Residential Developer at this year’s Construction News Awards (CN Awards).

For almost 25 years, the CN Awards have showcased some of the best work in the industry by developers and contractors, recognising projects and companies up and down the country.

The Best Residential Developer category acknowledges housebuilders and residential developers that exhibit a commitment to local planning, innovation, sustainability, and creating high-quality schemes. Furthermore, the category recognises developers that regenerate neighbourhoods with innovative architecture, boundary-pushing neighbourhood designs and ideas centred around the concept of community.

Throughout 2019, we maintained our reputation for creating high-quality homes that reflect and respond to the communities we work with. Our eagerness to engage with a wide range of partners – from housing associations to local councils – has made us a frontrunner in the UK mixed-tenure housing market.

The high-quality design of our homes has been acknowledged by a number of industry awards throughout 2019, including the Graham Pye Award at the Housing Design Awards for our Cambridge scheme, Abode; and a shortlisting for a Harlow Architectural Design Award for Base at Newhall.

We celebrated momentous milestones across some of our market-leading schemes in 2019. For example, last year we obtained the formal planning consent for Beam Park in east London, which will see the creation of 3,000 new homes in Barking and Dagenham.

Other notable milestones included the opening of Britain’s largest primary school – Hounslow Town Primary School – at our scheme The Assembly in west London. As well, we also broke ground at Peel, a regeneration scheme delivering over 300 homes and community facilities in Kilburn.

Over the course of our company’s history, we have championed sustainable, community-focused development, which has helped solidify our position as one of the UK’s leading home builders.

We look forward to the award ceremony at Grosvenor House Hotel, London, on Thursday 9 July 2020, where the winners will be announced.
