Countryside, the country’s leading mixed-tenure developer, has been given the green light to start building 365 properties on Fitton Hill in Oldham after successfully gaining planning permission on two parcels of land at Hill Farm Close and Rosary Road.

The land, which is owned by Oldham Council and ForHousing, is previously developed land formerly occupied by a mix of residential and educational buildings. On the currently vacant land, Countryside will be delivering a mix of house types, including apartments, mews, semi-detached and detached homes, ranging from 1 – 4 bedrooms in size.

Joe Turner, Managing Director, Manchester and Cheshire East, Countryside said:

“This development will make a significant contribution to Oldham’s available housing supply, with Countryside’s partnership model providing a high quality mixed tenure offer. Countryside prides itself on taking underused land and converting it into sustainable communities where people love to live. Fitton Hill will epitomise this approach, as we convert vacant land into a housing development with a complete range of properties that will cater for everybody’s needs.”
