Aura recognised by the NHBC Health and Safety Awards
We are pleased to announce that our Aura development in Great Kneighton has been selected by the National House Building Council (NHBC) as a Commended Winner at the NHBC Health and Safety Awards 2019.
Aura is overseen by Countryside Project Manager, Thomas Moore, who will attend the awards ceremony in July, when the Highly Commended sites will be chosen from the pool of Commended sites. Having earned a Highly Commended Award in 2016, this is the second time Thomas has been honoured at the NHBC Health and Safety Awards.
Our award-winning Aura development is part of Great Kneighton in Trumpington, Cambridge. The development offers a collection of apartments, duplexes and houses, elegantly placed within tree-lined avenues. Homes here are surrounded by green open spaces and have access to cycle paths, a range of amenities, including schools, shops, a library, and excellent road and rail connections.
The NHBC Health and Safety Awards are designed to reward the best in health and safety, whilst helping to drive up safety standards in the industry by showcasing best practice. Following several site visits, NHBC judges score nominated sites against set criteria. The top-scoring sites are awarded a Commended status, and, from these, the Highly Commended sites and National Winners are selected.
When visiting the sites, NHBC judges look for a tidy, well-organised site, in addition to well trained and experienced managers with operatives who understand the importance of working safely. Further to this they inspect the use of appropriate personal protective equipment and effective communication with all staff on health and safety issues.
The NHBC Health and Safety Awards 2019 will take place on 6 July in Birmingham. We look forward to finding out the Highly Commended and National Winners.
