Acton Gardens wins Best Urban Regeneration Project at the First-Time Buyer Readers’ Awards


Acton Gardens, Countryside’s £600m joint venture with L&Q that is transforming the former South Acton Estate in Ealing, West London, has won in the Best Urban Regeneration Project category at the prestigious First-Time Buyer Readers’ Awards.

The judging panel of the First-Time Buyer Readers’ Award comprised of leading experts from across the industry. On the day of the ceremony, the awards were opened to an online vote, enabling readers of First-Time Buyer Magazine to vote in support of their preferred company or project. The winners were announced during a celebratory lunch held at the London Marriott Hotel.

The First-Time Buyer Awards celebrate the work being done to support those stepping on the property ladder through the construction of high-quality new homes and communities, and the provision of outstanding services to this crucial part of the property market.

The Best Urban Regeneration Project category honours the best development within a neighbourhood regeneration scheme that can demonstrate the benefit it has brought to the area. Upon completion, Countryside and L&Q’s project will deliver 3,463 high-quality homes, of which 48% will be affordable, delivering a third more social housing than existed before the project began, ensuring the social sustainability of the area.

Most recently, Acton Gardens won the Housebuilder Awards in the Best Regeneration Initiative Category and was awarded  Bronze at the WhatHouse? Awards for Best Regeneration Scheme.
