Armed Forces Scheme

In recognition of the amazing work our Armed Forces do for our country, we’re helping military personnel to buy their own home.

How does it work?

The Armed Forces scheme* is made up of three elements, of which you can choose to combine. To purchase a new-build Countryside home, you can use any or all of the following:

  • The Armed Forces Help to Buy scheme from the MOD offers an interest-free advance on your salary
  • The Countryside military services discount: 1.5% discount of the list price
  • £3,000 contribution towards flooring

Thanks to our Armed Forces scheme, you could be moving into a new-build home a lot quicker than you thought possible.

Who is eligible?

To qualify for the Countryside Armed Forces scheme, you need to be a currently serving member of the Regular and Reserve UK Armed Forces and to have passed Phase 1 of your training.

Countryside are proud to be a supporter of the Armed Forces Covenant for which we hold a prestigious Gold Award, as part of the Ministry of Defence Employee Recognition Scheme (ERS).

It’s an initiative we’re involved in to offer fair opportunity and social access to past or current members of the Armed Forces and their families. It's all part of our pledge to give back to military personnel.

Terms and Conditions

References to “we”, “us” or “our” are to the part of the Vistry Group (including Linden Homes, Bovis Homes, Countryside Homes, Drew Smith, Vistry Ventures or one of Vistry’s joint venture companies) from which you are intending to purchase a new home. References to "you” and “your” are to the prospective buyer or buyers of a new home from us.

*Armed Forces Discount Scheme is available on our selected new build homes only, subject to contract and eligibility criteria. To qualify you must be a currently serving member of the regular or reserve UK Armed Forces and have passed Phase 1 of your training. You must provide us with evidence of your status in the UK Armed Forces and that you meet these requirements which is satisfactory to us. A 1.5% discount (capped at £5,000) of the list price will be deducted from the purchase price of a new home from us at legal completion. £3,000 contribution towards flooring will be deducted from funds due on legal completion of the purchase of a new home from us. Forces Help to Buy has specific terms and conditions and is subject to affordability criteria as prescribed by the Homes and Communities Agency and the Ministry of Defence. To take advantage of this offer you must claim before reserving a property from us and before any other discount is applied. This offer is not to be used in conjunction with any other offer, discount, promotion or scheme.
