The joint venture will help local people to get on the property ladder by releasing dozens of homes for shared ownership and rent-to-buy through Trafford Housing Trust and its Laurus Homes brand.
Following Trafford Council’s unanimous approval of their joint application in 2019, Heath Farm Lane LLP was established by Vistry Partnerships and Trafford Housing Trust to oversee the construction of a total of 148 two, three and four-bedroom homes at a former National Grid facility off Heath Farm Lane, Partington. The development is one of the region’s largest regeneration projects, with outline consent also granted for a further 452 homes and apartments at the site.
Thanks to the deal, both partners will sell the properties, with 50 Laurus homes available through shared ownership and 24 properties from Trafford Housing Trust through rent-to-buy. Vistry Partnerships’ award-winning housebuilding arm – Linden Homes – is responsible for selling the remaining 74 properties.
Along with a range of family homes, the development includes plans for apartments and public open space, which will provide future residents and locals with quality amenities recreational space.
The joint venture is also running its Construction Skills Academy at Heath Farm Lane, helping local people learn the skills and experience needed to start a career in the construction sector.
