New affordable housing will be coming to Cannock after Bromford entered into a new building contract with Vistry Partnerships (VP).
The national housebuilder is currently onsite at Walkmill Lane in the market town building 116 new homes. Bromford will have 58 of these homes, which will be a mixture of social and affordable rent plus five homes which will be sold through Help to Buy shared ownership.
The Cannock site was secured by VP from Homes England through the Developer Partner Panel with Bromford now part funding its homes at Walkmill Lane through the £66m grant it received from the government’s housing agency when it was named as one of its strategic partners earlier in the year.
Work is already underway in Cannock with the homes due to be completed in phases up to March 2022.
