Award Winning homes and happy customers
We hold over 60 years’ experience in building homes and creating communities. We have spent decades getting to understand the needs of our customers and nurturing our relationships with our partners to ensure we are delivering quality homes that meet people’s requirements across the country.
Not only are our award-winning homes designed by experts; they are also built to the highest specification as standard. In fact, we are the only home builder to have received the prestigious RIBA Stirling Prize for a housing development.
More than anything, we value the feedback we receive from our customers. We are proud to have received a five-star rating again from the Home Builders Federation (HBF), following the industry’s customer satisfaction survey results. We were thrilled to hear that more than 90% of our customers would recommend us to a friend.

Buying a home can be a daunting prospect, especially if it is your first home. But with Countryside there will always be someone from our professional and experienced sales team to help answer your questions and give you peace of mind throughout purchasing process.
We will also continue to support you once you have moved in, with our dedicated customer care team on hand to help with any queries.
You’ll also have the reassurance that comes with a 10-year warranty and insurance.
The great outdoors
We know how valuable outdoor space can be, so houses with their own gardens come turfed as standard, and for those purchasing apartments we incorporate balconies and terraces into our designs where possible.
We go to great lengths to make sure the landscape surrounding your new home and across your chosen development has been carefully considered and is beautifully presented. We use existing features, like trees and hedgerows, to create a sense of place and permanence to our communities.
All our developments undergo an ecological assessment to make sure that all necessary measures are taken to protect, and often enhance, natural habitats.
We work hard to create thriving communities, residents old and new are proud to say they live in a Countryside home.
We think beyond just building homes to also thinking carefully about the infrastructure such as transport and green spaces that will support local needs.
We follow the Countryside Building Communities approach on every project, from master-planning and design, through to building and aftercare, working closely with communities and partners throughout the development journey to ensure everyone's needs are met.
You can find out more about our Building Communities principles here.
All of our homes are designed to a high standard by our design team and built using specialist trade contractors in accordance with Countryside's quality management systems.
Your home is designed and constructed in accordance with building regulations applicable at the time and local planning policy guidance with respect to accessibility provision within the home.
You'll also have peace of mind knowing that each of our homes is independently inspected throughout the build process by building control and the warranty provider (who also provide a 10-year warranty and insurance policy).
Our leasehold commitment
Our Countryside leasehold commitment allows buyers to feel confident about buying from us.
1. Wherever possible we sell houses on a freehold basis
2. In cases where we do offer leasehold homes, we endeavour to offer a 999-year term
3. Where ground rent applies, we endeavour to set them as peppercorn throughout the term
4. We typically transfer the freehold of apartments to owners (after the last apartment is sold) via a resident management company.
You can read more about the Leasehold Pledge that we have committed to on the Government website.
