Community first
Simon and Adam had a detailed picture of their perfect family home in their minds.
“We have just started the process of adoption, so finding a neighbourhood with a strong sense of community was really important to us.”
Living an eco-friendly lifestyle is also important to the pair, so energy efficient features were a must. The size and spec of the home was another big factor, with an open-plan, multi-functional space and a garden top of the wish list.
A supportive network
When the couple began their search, they talked through their plan with Adam’s brother who works at Countryside, and he recommended they take a look at our Rivers Edge development.
“Once we visited the Rivers Edge development we knew we didn’t need to look elsewhere” says Simon.
The couple moved in last August and it’s quickly become the place they call home.
“As soon as we moved in, we received cards from neighbours welcoming us to the development and inviting us over, which was lovely! We know this will be the perfect place for us to start our family.

When Lara and Abiodun visited our showhomes at Radclyffe Green, they also knew straight away it the was ‘the one’ for them.
“We went to view the showhomes and my daughter said "mum I don't want to go home! The modern open-plan design is one of our favourite things about the home, and the moment I saw the skylight windows - I thought, ‘oh my god!’ It's just heavenly. "
Dreams come true
After years of dreaming of more space for her and her young daughter, single mum Zoe (41) also joined our 2022 cohort and moved into her dream home at Countryside’s Millbank Lock, in Partington.
“When I first walked into the house, I was so overwhelmed that I burst into tears. I couldn’t believe how perfect it was! Having moved from a one bedroom apartment, it's lovely to finally have stairs and a big open plan kitchen and living area.
“My daughter and I were able to watch our home be built from the ground up and we can’t wait to make new memories now we’re all moved in!”
