With the festive season firmly upon us, it’s time to bring some Christmas joy into our homes. Instagram is awash with ideas and inspiration so we’ve been spoilt for choice as we picked out some of our favourites.

Window displays

Christmas window displays aren’t just for department stores. The bay window of @smiths_dunham_home is a picture of festive joy guaranteed to bring a winter glow to visitors and passers-by. Hanging star lights twinkle against the traditional reds and greens of a generously dressed tree, while the gold bow on the door ties in with the warm tree lights and creates a beautifully warm welcome.

Warm and cosy

There are few things that bring a sense of festive cheer like a traditional Christmas tree with presents stacked beneath it. With its pinecones and baubles in deep shades, @ournewcalder’s tree takes centre stage but teams neatly with the leather wingback chair next to it, making a perfect scene for curling up with a hot chocolate or mulled wine while listening to Christmas songs and getting into the seasonal spirit.

Repurposed wreaths

Instagram is full of people making their own Christmas wreaths, but @homeatno.55’s wreath has an even more personal story. A repurposed centrepiece from the couple’s wedding, it brings double joy by combining happy memories of their big day with festive cheer, complementing their blue front door perfectly.
