Recognition for upcoming transformation of Doncaster Railway Works

Coming soon to Yorkshire is Pullman Green in Hexthorpe. It’s our largest ever scheme in the region and it’s already gaining prestigious recognition.
The development, which is set to deliver a total of 671 new homes, has won the ‘Best Large Development’ at The Yorkshires, Residential Real Estate Awards 2022. It was also shortlisted for the ESG Excellence award.
A new beginning
Pullman Green will sit on the site of the former Doncaster Railway Works, alongside the River Don, and in partnership with Sage and Sigma Capital Group, we will be transforming the area into a brand new and bustling mixed-tenure community.
The scheme will offer 196 affordable homes, 239 homes for the build to rent market and a further 236 open market properties, providing a truly multifaceted and regenerative development.
The awards celebrate the incredible living spaces that are created and renovated throughout Yorkshire and this timely recognition highlights the importance of Countryside’s vision, delivering sustainable developments which benefit the entire community, meet local housing demand, and create places where people love to live.
A lasting legacy
Chris Penn, Managing Director, Yorkshire, Countryside, commented: “As an organisation we have long known the credentials of Pullman Green, a development that really encompasses all the principles we work by at Countryside. It is great to now see Pullman Green get the public recognition that it deserves.
“The development will completely transform this area, delivering much needed housing for people of all needs and will also provide significant investment into the wider community.”
