Anupam explained: “We had been saving for three years and our plan was to purchase next year, to give us more time to save. But we were getting increasingly worried about living with the baby in the apartment, as the heating was constantly on and our energy bills were rising.
“We began to feel overwhelmed at how we were going to manage financially once our son was born.”
Finding a way
The couple then discovered a three bed home at our Belle Vue Place development in Manchester. They had been visiting friends who had purchased on another Countryside development and fell in love with the style of our homes.
“We already had the money for a deposit and a house became available at Belle Vue Place, so we decided to go for it,” said Anupam.
Making it happen
Now settled in their three bedroom semi-detached home, the couple have already noticed a reduction in their energy bills.
“We have noticed the house feels generally warmer, even in winter and we’ve not had to use the heating as much as when we were living in the apartment,” Anupam said.
Counting their lucky stars
The popular development, which is on the site of the historic Belle Vue racecourse, was near to where Anupam and Shrabanti were living previously and it offered accessible transport links for work.
But the couple say their favourite thing about their new home is their skylight window in the master bedroom and they love to sit and watch the moon together each night.
Watching them shine
They’ve been kind enough to share some of the photos they took when they first moved in. When we spoke to them last, they had just returned home from hospital after welcoming their baby son a few weeks earlier than planned.
