When it came to buying a new home for his family, Jamal (33) had his sights set on a new build.

"With two young children, I really don’t have any time to do up an older house properly, so I’ve always been set on a new build.” He said.

Knowing the kind of property you want certainly helps to narrow down the search, but determining where to turn to next is a completely different ball game.

A friendly pointer

For anyone who’s done the research, you’ll have found there are a lot of variables involved and no development is the same. Luckily for Jamal, his friend had some experience of this and was able to point him in the right direction.

"One of my friends had previously lived in a Countryside house and couldn’t recommend them enough.” Jamal adds.

With his friend’s recommendation in mind, Jamal found our Millbank Lock development in Partington and there was no looking back.

"I registered my interest in the development before it launched and when the homes became available, everything just fell into place.

"I really liked what you get with Countryside compared to other developers. The price, location and the fact that the house has three bedrooms were the main things that really stood out to me.

"Plus I loved being able to make all of my own design choices, such as the kitchen and bathroom cupboards - even though I’m so indecisive!"

The end result

Soon, Jamal and his two young sons will get the keys to their brand new three-bedroom home and they’ve already got big plans for it.

“Having a good sized garden was really important to me, especially with having young children. I’m hoping to get a barbecue set up, as well as a basketball net for my son.

"I’m also planning to build an outdoor space that could become a home office or a place for me to make music."
