Free ice cream at The Paddocks!
Pupils at Cressing Primary School had much to celebrate on their last day of the school year thanks to a special treat from the team at The Paddocks.
On July 21, The Paddocks, a superb collection of 2-5 bedroom traditional style homes located adjacent to the school, hosted an ice cream van offering all pupils and their siblings a free ice cream to mark their last day at school until September.
In a special leavers’ assembly, pupils in Year 6 were also gifted to a unique goodie bag courtesy of Countryside, which included a T-shirt, a teddy bear, a water bottle and a £20 book voucher.
Stewart Caplen, Headteacher at Cressing Primary School, commented: "Since the start of the development next to the school, Countryside have really supported the education for the children. Some of our learners have been over to the site to have a look at what’s going on and talked to the developers about the building process, while Countryside have also supported events we’ve had in school as well.
"For our Year 6 pupils who are leaving the school it's obviously a sad time, but Countryside provided goodie bags for the children, with T-shirts, teddy bears and vouchers for books - just lovely, lovely gifts. In addition to that, Countryside provided free ice creams for all the children at the school. This sort of support has been typical of what we have received throughout the time of the development. We’ve been very, very happy with the work that’s been undertaken by Countryside at The Paddocks and look forward to continuing our good relationships with them."
Ideally located between Braintree and Witham, The Paddocks has been designed with community in mind, while also offering excellent connections for commuting, however you travel.
