Development Spotlight: A day in your life at Millbank Lock

Master bedroom with ensuite

The change of season brings more opportunities to get outside and explore, and if you are settling into your new home it’s an exciting time to see what your local area has to offer.

We’re taking a tour around our Greater Manchester development, Millbank Lock , so spend a day with us visiting some of our favourite local spots.

Start the day

There’s no better way to start the day than waking up in your new home and welcoming those early signs of spring in through the skylight windows and french doors, whilst enjoying your morning cuppa.

The site is located on the picturesque banks of the Manchester Ship Canal, so you can start the day with a stroll (or a run or a cycle!) along the waterways into the local town to pick up your morning essentials.

Brunch to lunch

You’re not short of nearby places to visit for a spot of lunch; the multi-award winning Altrincham market is less than a twenty minute drive from Millbank Lock.

It’s become a destination for foodies, so you’ll find a host of other amazing independent food operators, but there’s an abundance of vintage fashion and furniture finds too.

Into the afternoon

The beautiful Dunham Massey is also well worth a visit. Take in the stunning views as you wander through the grounds, and if you’re lucky you’ll spy some roaming deer.

Or if you prefer, why not take a short tram ride into Manchester city centre in the afternoon for a spot of shopping and a wander?

Onto the night

You’ll find country pubs close by and a huge choice of restaurants to try in the surrounding areas, from Sale to Stretford and Urmston. But our buyers are always telling us they love nothing more than a night in at home. Whether that’s entertaining friends and family in their open plan kitchen space, or getting cosy on the sofa after a busy day exploring.

Then it’s up to the bedroom, where they can fall into bed and gaze at the night sky through their stunning skylight windows.
