Couple and their children upsize to family friendly development Wolsey Park

Bogdana, an accountant at an insurance broking company, and her husband Christian, a senior site manager working in construction, embarked on their property search for a larger home towards the end of 2020 - with their two sons growing up the couple decided they needed to upsize from their two-bedroom house. The family found their perfect four-bedroom house at Countryside’s Wolsey Park and were fortunate enough to be able to keep their two-bedroom house as a buy to let, expanding their property portfolio.

Bogdana and Christian reserved their new four-bedroom house at Wolsey Park in Rayleigh, Essex and cannot wait to enjoy their private garden in the summer.

The family purchased ‘The Rosefinch’ which has allowed them to keep their current house in Chafford Hundred and rent it out as a buy-to-let. “I feel so lucky to be a homeowner of two properties” says Bogdana “The homes at Wolsey Park are beautiful but also reasonably priced – I never thought this would be possible.”

“We are so excited to move into our new house and to benefit from the extra space” says Bogdana. “Originally, we had ruled out a new-build home thinking it would be out of our price range, however, having discussed with my brother who is also looking at buying – he recommended branching out and taking a look.” Bogdana adds “We decided to take a look at Wolsey Park, with my boss recommending the Rayleigh area, and were immediately sold on the neighbourhood and the beautiful homes at the development.”

Bogdana says “The four-bedroom semi-detached house is incredibly spacious, and we love the open-plan living which provides the perfect place for entertaining and enjoying family time.” She explains, “It was important for us to have a four-bedroom property as it allows room for my parents, who live in Romania, to come over and visit easily which is a major selling point for us.” She adds “We also love the high specification throughout the home with all the modern touches, especially the stunning dark blue and grey colour palette of the kitchen – it exudes a luxury feel.” Bogdana adds “The children can’t wait to enjoy the garden – I am excited to be able to see them run around this summer, it’s such a plus having our own private outdoor space.”

“One of the most important things for us was finding a home within the catchment area of fantastic grammar schools as we are hoping our eldest son will be able to attend one. Rayleigh, in my opinion, has some of the best schools in the county so even if he doesn’t get in, there are an abundance of fantastic state schools to choose from.” Bogdana adds “It really is the perfect place to raise a family.”

The historic town of Rayleigh is surrounded by beautiful countryside providing residents with the best of both worlds. Bogdana says “We love that we can look out of the window and see fields and nearby woods but can also access all our local amenities so easily – it’s perfect for our busy family life.”

When asked about their overall buying experience the couple could not have been more complimentary.
