Countryside supports local students at Harlow College

Countryside has donated a new kitchen from a show home at Base – its award-winning development in Newhall, Essex – to Harlow College. The kitchen was offered free of charge and will be used by pupils working in trades such as carpentry, providing a new resource to practice installing and removing kitchens, as they work towards their professional qualifications.

Alongside supporting the students to develop on-the-job skills, the kitchen provides a brand-new, stylish space for the students to come together, with the current supported studies kitchen at Harlow College in need of a renovation.

Over the last two years, those in education have been impacted across the globe. Countryside is delighted to have remained committed to supporting the communities in which it operates, including local educational facilities – in this case with ensuring students have access to appropriate equipment as they pursue their careers.

Catherine Brooking, Managing Director, Northern Home Counties, Countryside, comments: The importance of our communities, and the support networks educational facilities provide, has been highlighted over the last two-years and we remain more committed than ever to supporting them where we can. It has been highly rewarding working with Harlow College, and we hope the new kitchen will be a fantastic resource for local students.
