Countryside supports Hits Radio's Cash for Kids Mission Christmas charity initiative

This Christmas, Countryside has been supporting the incredible Hits Radio’s Cash for Kids charity and its biggest appeal of the year - Mission Christmas - to ensure children living in poverty have a present to open on Christmas day.
With 1 in 3 children living in poverty, the heartbreaking reality is that thousands spend Christmas without a single toy to unwrap. Hits Radio’s Cash for Kids and the generosity of others help make sure disadvantaged young people have something special to unwrap at this magical time of year.
This year, the Countryside community across several of our North West and Yorkshire developments and offices have collected hundreds of gifts kindly donated by our suppliers, staff, and customers as well as raising over £4,000 in cash donations.
Festive Staff Fundraiser Raises £1.5k for Mission Christmas
On 9th and 10th December our Warrington Head Office took part in several fundraising activities throughout the office with the team going to great lengths to raise money for the Mission Christmas cause.
Warrington’s Christmas jumper day saw the office awash with colour while fundraising activities took place throughout the day.
A Christmas quiz and secret santa tombola were also held, while a staff sale saw former show home items sold to employees with proceeds of the sale being donated to the charity.
The Mission Christmas donations just keep on coming
We have been truly touched by the generosity of our customers, colleagues and partners who helped us on our mission to donate hundreds of gifts and raise over £4,000 in cash for the charity.
We have received fantastic donations from our suppliers including the team at Met Security who generously dropped off gifts at our City Fields development in Wakefield.
Over at our Leeds office, M J Civils generously donated a number of gifts, and Yorkshire Managing Director, Chris Penn, Commercial Director, Richard Short and David Reasebeck got stuck in to help sort the donations before they were sent off to Mission Christmas HQ.
Manchester based creative agency, Milk and Cheshire based Mortgage broker, Fidenti & Co also dug deep to help the cause, with many of our Manchester and Merseyside partners making cash donations to our fundraising page.
The overwhelming generosity shown has been a heartwarming reminder of what we can achieve when we all come together. All of these donations will bring a smile to the faces of hundreds of children with cash donations filling the gaps for the gifts of older children.
The total amount raised by Countryside to date is more than £4,100 and there’s still time to donate online if you want to help us reach our £5,000 target by the end of the month!
