Love at first sight

School teachers Francesca and Mike will be spending their first Valentine’s Day in their new home after moving in before Christmas.

The first time buyers bought their home off-plan, but it was love at first sight the moment they walked into a Countryside showhome.

Francesca said: “When we walked into the showhomes it instantly made us feel confident with our decision to purchase the home. Our favourite part of the house has to be the open feature of the skylights and the lighting throughout the home.

“We trusted our instinct and it paid off.”

The icing on the cake for Francesca and Mike was discovering their next door neighbours were also buying a house on the same development!

The couple had already registered their interest in the development and reserved their new home as soon as properties hit the market, and when their neighbours Will and Sarah heard the news, they snapped up a plot on the same site!

Chance encounters leading to the best of friendships

Speaking of good neighbours, three solo buyers struck up a lifelong friendship after they all moved onto the same development. Julia, Jackie and Margaret started off as complete strangers, who just happened to be buying new homes at the same site so were introduced by their sales consultant Anne.

Julia says: “I was the first one to move onto the development, so when Anne told me that Jackie was moving in, I went round straight away with a card and flowers and we instantly clicked. We started getting together on Thursday nights for ‘Prosecco Thursdays’ and when Margaret arrived she joined in too.

Jackie continues: “We’re a real community and it’s been amazing getting to know Julia and Margaret. We’re so lucky to have found each other and we really look after one another.

“We all look after each other, taking our bins and parcels in. We’re all really good friends and it’s just so nice here that I feel like I’ve come home.” Margaret adds.

A strong sense of community

Simon and Adam have described their Countryside development as the perfect place to start a family.

“We have just started the process of adoption, so finding a neighbourhood with a strong sense of community was really important to us. Since we moved in, we’ve received cards from neighbours welcoming us to the development and inviting us over, which is lovely!

“We fell in love with the features of the house, especially the open plan layout of the ground floor. We love to host so we can’t wait for our friends and family to visit, the kitchen is the perfect space to get everyone together."
