Countryside donates much loved classic children’s books to local community

The Paddocks - Cressing Primary School book donation

At Countryside Partnerships, we understand the importance of education and inspiring the younger generation, which is why we are proud to share that we recently donated a collection of books as part of the Friends of Cressing Primary School’s annual Summer Fayre Raffle.

Located adjacent to The Paddocks, our popular development in Tye Green, Essex, Cressing Primary School offers a fantastic education offering for the local community and we are delighted to be able to contribute key novels for young people to enjoy.

With books including Ladybird’s ‘Read it Yourself’ collection, Julia Donaldson’s The Ugly 5 Books Collection Set, alongside the well-known classics such as Enid Blyton’s Secret Seven Box Set and The Classic Adventures of Paddington Bear, prizes catered for a range of ages, interests and reading abilities.

The Friends of Cressing School host several fundraising events throughout the year, from discos and cake sales, to summer and winter fayres. The money raised from these events goes towards improving the educational experience for pupils. The funds raised from the summer fayre will contribute towards new curtains and blinds for the school hall, as well as a school oven, which will be used by pupils as part of the school curriculum.

We look forward to being involved in future events within the local community as we continue to build on our fantastic relationship with Cressing Primary School.

Gill Morgan - Chair of Friends of Cressing School, said: "The Friends of Cressing School are delighted to receive a generous donation of fiction books from Countryside to use in their Summer Fayre Raffle.  The donation includes much loved classics such as the Secret Seven and Paddington."
