British Homes Awards shortlisting for South Oxhey Central

British Homes Awards

South Oxhey Central, our £218m mixed-use regeneration scheme in Hertfordshire, has been shortlisted at the British Homes Awards 2022 in the Development Transformation of the Year category.

These prestigious awards recognise excellence and innovation in the British housebuilding industry, focusing on architectural design, interior design, build quality and innovation showcased by one-off houses through to major developments.

South Oxhey Central has been shortlisted for the way in which the existing South Oxhey town centre in Hertfordshire and three unused sites have been turned into a modern and vibrant hub for local residents and businesses. Set amongst two acres of landscaped parks and public spaces will be 55,000 sq. ft. of retail and commercial space, including a 18,500 sq. ft. Lidl food store, a revamped retail experience at Carpenders Park railway station and 659 new homes.

Phases 1 and 2 of the development are now fully complete, with 29,000 sq ft of retail space now open and occupied by five local retailers, a new market square open and 314 new homes completed. Maintaining the recent momentum, construction is well underway on Phase 3 of South Oxhey Central, which will deliver 345 new homes in total, a c.18,800 sq ft Lidl supermarket, and c.6,500 sq ft of further retail space.

As a leading UK mixed-tenure developer, this shortlisting success is testament to the hard work of our team, not only reflecting the high-quality design and innovation of our schemes but our dedication to creating places people love. We look forward to the awards ceremony at The Londoner Hotel on Friday 30th September, when the winners will be announced.
