It’s notoriously difficult for people to save for a deposit whilst renting, but a major UK lender has introduced a product that could finally solve the problem.

The 100% mortgage has been introduced specifically for buyers who have a track record of renting for 12 months or more and it will give those eligible the head start they need to get on the property ladder.

Keep going

There are plenty of other options for non-renters too, but unless you’re monitoring the market closely, you may not be aware of all the help available. The fast pace of change can be hard to keep up - but you should know that we are thinking and acting just as fast.

Most recently, we’ve launched ‘Deposit Assist’ for first time buyers who are in a position to lean on friends and family for financial support. We’re offering to pay a friend or family member £2000 upon completion, if they contribute 5% towards the purchase price of your property.

Through the scheme, you’ll also receive an additional £5000 towards your moving costs.
